“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”   - Colossians 2:6-7

Come Grow With Us!

                   SAPlings

Rooted and Built Up In Him.

A sapling is a young tree or a young person; a SAPling is any young person at SAPC. We know that it is important to give our little Saplings a firm foundation from the moment they enter our doors on the Ground Floor (Birth toKindergarten) through the time they move up to the Top Floor (First to Sixth Grade). It is our duty and privilege to make sure they are firmly rooted and built up in Jesus Christ. We begin when they are infants by lovingly caring for them in the nurseries and as they grow older we begin to teach them the truths of Scripture enabling them to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God. As we invest ourselves into these children, we will find ourselves blessed to participate in true Kingdom work; and we, as well as the children, will be strengthened in faith and overflowing in thankfulness.

From the moment a child is born and each time a new child begins attending our church, we should begin to pray for that child. Why not “adopt” a child or a family and begin to pray Ephesians 3:14-21 for your child or family? If you are interested in doing this or if you would like to serve in children’s ministry as a teacher, assistant or nursery worker, contact Wendy Kelley (x102) or Kelli Clifton (x104).
