I was born into and raised in the Presbyterian Church as the son of a pastor. My early childhood was spent in Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina before my family moved to Columbia, SC when I was ten. I went to Richland Northeast High School and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Psychology. In the years that followed, I worked in restaurant and retail management before God directed my path to SAPC.
Although from a young age I had always felt the presence of God in my life, it was on a church youth retreat that the Holy Spirit overwhelmingly drew me to Jesus and into a personal relationship with my Savior. I am married to Amy, SAPC’s Assistant to the Director of Worship & Arts, and we have one son, Tripp.
