Compassion -

how we minister to women in our church and in our community!

Exam packs to our college students: Boxes are filled with goodies during the final exam week and mailed to our SAPC college students.

Take Them a Meal: Women may sign up on the website when the need arises through a notification from the Women’s Ministry group on The City. We minister to anyone in our church who would enjoy a home cooked meal delivered to them after a surgery, the birth of a baby, death of a loved one, etc. Leader – Jenesse Layman

Hospital Visitation: Women volunteers visit other women from our church and share Christian concern, provide spiritual encouragement, and offer assistance for any related needs. New mothers are also ministered to with sweet baskets of special items lovingly made by some of our other ministries. Leader – Alicia Pope (with Patricia Cooper assisting)

Visitation to Assisted Living homes: Each month volunteers visit our church members and friends in assisted living homes in our area and deliver goodie bags, enjoy meaningful conversation, and pray with the women they visit. Leaders – Jeanette Hilbish and Debbie Marshall

Naomi/Ruth: This is a group of women in our church (both young and old) who have lost their spouse. These women get together a few times a year and encourage one another. Leaders – Joy Hughes and Kaye Webb

Elderlove: This is a ministry that sends cards and notes to the elderly in our church who are homebound. Leader – Janice Rockholz

Card Making Ministry: Women make beautiful, hand-crafted cards that are mailed to our church members during special times in their lives. They are sent as an encouragement to let our members know that their church family cares about and is praying for them. Leader – Gail Barnes

Knit-Crochet-Pray: This ministry meets twice a month to knit and crochet prayer shawls, lap robes, chemo caps, and baby blankets. These are specifically prayed over before being given to a recipient. Knowing how to knit or crochet is not a prerequisite—the ladies are happy to teach anyone who would like to get involved! Leader – Brenda Mack

Heart to Hands: Women gather together to complete sewing projects that benefit many in our community and abroad. (This ministry is a part of the Missions Team and is coordinated through our Women’s Ministry.) Leaders – Ann Hunt and Susan Moore
