Building Forward Updates
October 23 Update: It has begun! Due to construction fencing, the two entrances at the front of the education building are no longer accessible. During the week, please enter the church through the labeled entrances at the back of the church. See photos below for Sunday morning entrance access and weekly entrance access.
To help those on Sunday who may need assistance or who normally park in the handicapped spaces, our deacons and ushers will be here to assist you. You may drive up to the covered Portico door and someone will be there to help you into the building and will park your car for you.
On October 26, they will begin replacing the Great Hall/Youth/Worship & Arts building roof. Please do NOT park around the Great Hall/Kitchen/Youth Area (front and back) until this work is completed. This will allow the contractors to have access and protect you from any falling roof shingles.
Finally, officer and staff mailboxes have been moved. You will find officer boxes on the second floor, behind the choir loft. There is also a tray there for items for staff.
October 15 Update: Beginning the middle of next week (10/21), Mashburn Construction will begin staging in preparation for construction. The main office door and the key pad door on the street-facing side of the church will become unavailable. Please plan to enter through the portico door or the back office entrance (labeled) at the rear of the church.
October 13 Update: Work has begun in the Great Hall and in our Youth Area! Painters and technicians are hard at work in these spaces. Celebrate what God is letting us accomplish and, if you usually share a meal on Wednesday evenings, please note that some tables will be set up for you in the Great Hall Lobby (near the Missions wall).
September 29 Update: We are excited to share that our permits have been approved, and we expect Mashburn Construction to mobilize onsite the third week of October. Also, work has begun in the Great Hall on the audio/visual repairs and upgrades!
August 25 Update: We are excited that we have finalized the details and signed the contract with Mashburn. They are currently waiting on permit approval and expect to begin in late September. We are excited to get started!
Groundbreaking Ceremony
On July 12, we had a ceremonial groundbreaking to celebrate how the Lord has provided for our Building Forward campaign. We had representatives from different ministries and demographics share in this celebration to officially kick off this new season in the life and ministry of SAPC. The final details are being arranged as we give thanks and prepare to see how God will utilize this new space.
