Prayer
We believe prayer connects us to God and to one another. The apostle Paul exhorts us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6, ESV). Our community is committed to lifting each other up in prayer, trusting that God hears and responds with love.
Opportunities for Prayer
Weekly Prayer
Each Sunday morning, we gather at 8:45 a.m. in room 208 to pray for everything going on that day—from our greeters welcoming people to the sermon that will be preached. We pray for our time in worship together, our Growth Classes, our youth and children’s ministries, and any special events that may be happening.
Corporate Prayer Events
Throughout the year, we occasionally dedicate the 9:15 a.m. Growth Hour to corporate prayer. As a church, we gather to pray for specific needs, often focusing on missionaries and their families or different outreach opportunities around Columbia.
