Dan Kirby
I was born and raised in Georgia. I came to faith through the ministry of Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Appalachian State University. It was in RUF that I also met my wife, Mary Beth, and we have been married since June 2020. We spent the first six years of marriage in Greensboro, NC, where I worked in college ministry for several years while working through the MDiv program at Covenant Theological Seminary.
SAPC’s pastoral residency program allows me to simultaneously complete my studies at Covenant, learn from the pastoral staff as my calling continues to take shape, and lead the Young Adult ministry.
My favorite Bible verse is Job 38:4: “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding,” which is featured at the beginning of the film The Tree of Life (arguably the greatest Christian film of all time). I’d love to talk about film with you any time. If I weren't in ministry, I'd probably be working in an MLB front office or farming.
