I was born and raised in Vero Beach, FL, but South Carolina has been my home for almost 40 years. I never remember a time when I wasn’t part of God’s covenant family and am eternally grateful for my Christian upbringing. God gave me an assurance of my salvation at the age of 13, and the Lord has proven His faithfulness to me time and time again through all of the ups and downs of my life.

The Lord called me and my family to SAPC in March of 2003 as the Director of Worship & Arts. In 2019 I received a call from the congregation to be an Associate Pastor and in November of 2022 it was my great joy and privilege to be installed as the Senior Pastor.

My wife, Sharon, serves as SAPC’s organist. We have 2 sons—Truman (Emma) and Matthew—and the best grandson in the world, Quinn. One of the things I love about SAPC is its special, intergenerational, family atmosphere, and it’s been our joy to raise our boys here; we are thankful for this body’s investment of love in our lives. When there are periods of “time off,” I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as hiking and cooking.
